World Asthma Day 2023: "Asthma Care for All"

World Asthma Day is an annual event that takes place on the first Tuesday of May each year. In 2023, it falls on 2nd May. The day was founded in 1993 and is organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) and supported by healthcare organizations, patient groups, and individuals around the world. The purpose of World Asthma Day is to increase awareness and understanding of asthma, its causes, symptoms, and treatment options. It also aims to promote better asthma management and care, reduce the stigma surrounding asthma, and improve the quality of life for people with asthma.

Each year, World Asthma Day has a different theme that focuses on a particular aspect of asthma care and management. For example, the theme for World Asthma Day 2023 is "Asthma Care for All." This theme focuses on the need to ensure that everyone with asthma, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status, has access to the care and resources they need to manage their condition effectively. This theme recognizes that asthma is a chronic respiratory disease that affects millions of people worldwide and can have a significant impact on a person's quality of life.

Unfortunately, many people with asthma face barriers to care due to factors such as poverty, lack of access to healthcare, and stigma.
